Today, I treated myself to one of my favorite lunch-time specials: Dinosaur!!
I'm not talking about the extinct, prehistoric creatures, but one of my favorite restaurants a couple blocks away from work.
This small establishment keeps it simple by serving a limited menu of different banh mi, spring rolls, chips and bottled drinks. Their sandwiches are to die for, and I especially love The Pork, which is grilled, marinated pork, pickled radishes and carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, fresh jalapenos and a little homemade mayo. One of the best parts of this perfect-sized sando is the price....under $5! If you are ever in the Mission/Castro 'hood, you should really check it out!
